What is brand identity?

Before understanding brand identity, I want to ask you one question?

Think for instance, what is your identity?

Now tell me, if we think of our identity, is it just our name or something more than that?

 

Along with our name, it is how people know us as a human. In other words, it is a perception people around us have about us. They identify us as a specific type of person based on certain habits and some specific behavior we have with respect to them and others. Accordingly, they make certain perception of our identity.

 

Similarly, Brand identity is the perception people have created in their minds about the business entity depending on work that business has done for the wellbeing of people.

 

How authentic is it?

 

Was it done to show in media to gain trust of people or it is done on an authentic base.

People identify the purpose of any business based on behavior of the business in building their brand in the market.

What Product or service they have?

Some business tell qualities of their product or service to attract customers. This type of branding in a business is sale based. They are only telling what they have, that’s it.

 

So, obviously people make a perception that this brand is just trying to pull their money and they don’t care or bother whether people have that extra money to buy it or they are going in pains to buy it.

How useful is the product or service?

Some business advertise about the benefits their customers will get after buying the product or service that business is offering. This type of branding in a business expresses how the product or service will solve their problems.
